- Your horse gallops by itself. Press Space, Up, W, JUMP, or tap the right half of the stage to jump; hold it for a higher leap over hedges and rivers. Press Down in the air to dive.
- Hold Down, S, or DUCK to slide under low branches. Hold Right, D, Shift, or SPRINT to gallop faster while your stamina lasts; Left or A slows you down before a tricky pattern.
- Fences, logs, hedges, boulders and branches cost a heart when hit, mud slows you down, and a river dunk costs a heart and restarts you on the far bank. Collect carrots, golden horseshoes and apples, and cross all five stages to lower the drawbridge. P pauses.

Tap for fences, hold for hedges and rivers. Watch the flag posts: each stage gets faster, so save sprint for open ground and slow down before the river.
